Minnesota Chapter News
The Central Minnesota
Chapter was chartered in 1992 with the goal of serving
the needs of those involved in the industrial maintenance
and plant engineering field. We are proud to have
technicians, supervisors, vendors, and management
represented in our chapter. We have developed our
chapters with an active executive committee and board.
Below you will find a list and brief description of the
many features of the Central Minnesota Chapter.
| Membership |
We
welcome anyone involved in the facilities
maintenance field to join our growing chapter.
Are annual dues are as follows:
Technician and Senior Members - $65 (includes
chapter and & national dues)
Associate Members (Vendors) - $110 (includes
chapter and national dues) |
| Programs |
Our
monthly programs feature dinner meetings, tours
of local industry and technical presentation on
maintenance related topics. Our monthly meetings
are held the third week of each month. |
| Education |
Our
chapter was formed with the goal of providing
cutting edge technological programs and classes.
Our TMT program, has featured on OSHA safety
requirements, coaching for performance and the
management role. |
| Scholarships |
We
offer scholarship through our local technical
college for men and women who are pursuing a
major and career in facilities maintenance. |
| Fund Raising |
Our
spring speaker presentation in April, is joint
effort between the IMI and other local
professional organizations. Past events have
featured nationally recognized speakers
presenting such topics as Total Productive
Maintenance and Personal Motivations and Team
Building. Our fall event is a raffle with
proceeds going to our scholarship program. |
| Public Relations |
We
strive to be active in our community. Future
plans are to develop an Adopt-A-Highway Program
and chapter newsletter. |
