I would like to wish all of our members and
friends of IMI and their families a happy and prosperous new year.
I sense that the year 2002 will be an interesting and challenging year for all of us,
especially for IMI. I also feel confident that by the end of 2002 we will have a feeling of
satisfaction and accomplishment that we managed to do so well in these uncertain times.
I welcome back our executive committee members, Mark Parsons, John Holsappel, Joseph Sebben,
John Trudell and Roger Oliver. I know they will again pull together to make us the great team
that we are. I thank the 2001 executive committee and all our members and associates for
volunteering their valuable time to make this organization as good as it is. I also have to
mention that all of us are sad to say good-bye to Kendra Shurgold. Kendra has temporarily left
so that she can pursue another of her many goals. She was our first female executive member
and she represented herself very, very well. We will miss her constructive input and her
enthusiasm. We look forward to working with her again in the future.
You will notice that our executive committee now has six members versus the seven that we have
had for the past several years. I suppose this is another example of downsizing. We hope
that we will be able to call upon some of our members and IMI friends when needed to help us
with some of our larger programs.
